This day was truly packed from start to finish—
starting with Verona's romantic charm in the morning,
and ending with Milan’s elegance in the evening 😊

 

🏛️ Verona Arena – Ancient Beauty in the City

The first stop of the morning was the Verona Arena.
While not as large as the Colosseum,
it’s still quite impressive standing right in the heart of the city.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to catch an opera performance there,
which was a little disappointing 😢

💘 Juliet’s House – Yes... I Touched the Statue for a Wish

Next, I visited the famous Juliet’s House.
Letters to Juliet covered the wall,
and in front stood the iconic statue.

Although it felt a little embarrassing 😳,
I followed the tradition and touched the statue’s chest for a wish.
It was awkward—but also kind of fun and unforgettable!

🏛️ Piazza delle Erbe & Piazza dei Signori – A Step into the Past

Piazza delle Erbe was smaller than I expected,
but full of charm with its market stalls and cafés.

Right nearby was Piazza dei Signori,
which had a quieter, medieval atmosphere.
I rested a bit under the Dante statue and soaked in the peaceful vibe.

🏰 Sirmione – Castles, Gelato, and Parking Headaches

Next, I drove to Sirmione, the picturesque town by the lake.
Let me be honest… Parking was incredibly difficult! 😵‍💫
Cars lined the roads and I circled several times before finding a spot.

But once I saw Castello Scaligero and the serene lakeside,
I felt everything was worth it.
I enjoyed a gelato while strolling along the water—
those quiet moments were truly healing 🍦

🚗 Off to Milan – Switching to City Mode

After enjoying Sirmione, I headed straight to Milan.
Even before arriving, I could tell the city vibe was different.
Taller buildings, sharper energy—it was a whole new mood.

🕍 Milan Cathedral & Rooftop – A Lucky Entry

At Milan Cathedral (Duomo),
I was initially told that only Catholic visitors could enter.
I’m still not quite sure why…

But luckily, I was guided through a side entrance.
And you know what? That route turned out to be even better!
I got to quietly observe part of a ceremony and really take in the sacred atmosphere ⛪✨

🛍️ Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II & Via Monte Napoleone

The nearby Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II was absolutely stunning—
like walking inside a palace.

Then I wandered through Via Monte Napoleone,
Milan’s famous luxury shopping street.
I didn’t buy anything (of course 😅),
but just walking there felt fancy!

🍽️ Dinner at Pino in Duomo – A Relaxed Finish

Dinner was at Pino in Duomo, a cozy spot near the cathedral.
Reasonable price, tasty dishes—
perfect for wrapping up a busy day.

🛏️ Return to Verona – Tired but Satisfied

After dinner, I returned to my Verona lodging.
Though the drive back was tiring,
the memories from the day made every moment feel worthwhile.

🌙 One Day, So Many Stories

From shyly making a wish at Juliet’s statue,
to navigating tight parking in Sirmione,
to entering Milan Cathedral through a side door—
today was packed with unique and emotional moments.

And one last thing…
I really regret not being able to watch an opera in Verona 😢
That’s something I’d love to come back for someday.
