๐ Road Trip Tips
- Car Choice: Avoid luxury cars → entry restrictions in some cities + theft risks. Mazda CX-30 was perfect for two people
- Driving License: Need official paper international license, not just English license!
- Navigation: Offline Google Maps = must-have! Waze may work well in Europe too ๐
- Caution: Speed cameras in Europe often snap from behind. Be mindful of speed limits
- Fine Experience: Drove into ZTL zone in Verona → got fined €70–€100
- ZTL = restricted traffic zone → check maps ahead!
๐ณ Budget & Practical Tips
- Total Budget: Under 10M KRW (for 2 people)
- Airline: Turkish Airlines
- Rental Car: €716 (Sept 11–18, incl. tax)
- Food: Dined at Michelin 2-star yet managed cost efficiently
- Payments: Travel Wallet + NAVER Pay Money Card (great overseas perks!)
- Currency Exchange: Minimal; cards accepted nearly everywhere
- Phone SIM: Should allow international calls! Needed for late self-check-in
- Lounge Credit Card: Nice to have, but unused this trip
- Dining Tip: “Free” starters (bread, olives, etc.) may be charged → best to skip!
๐๏ธ Milan Notes
- Milan Cathedral: Check accessibility beforehand!
- We barely made it in—entry may be restricted at times.
